Abstract

The growth of renewable energy with photovoltaic is extremely expanding in the present time. The favorite solution of photovoltaic installation is the grid connection to the existing distribution power network that is similar to enhance electricity generation source into the network. According to power system analysis fundamental, short circuit current and electric equipment in network will be affected. That is the reason to propose short circuit current analysis in distribution power network with addition of electricity generation source. The model of distribution power network, which consist of utility (main power source), SPP generator and photovoltaic, will be created and analyzed to achieve short circuit current according to IEC 60909. The result will be applied to consider rated electrical equipment and operation pickup value according to IEEE C37.230 (2020) IEEE C37.234 (2021)
